EUTHANASIA SERVICES

The Humane Society of Berks County provides complete end of life services for pet owners facing the hardest decision they are likely to face with their companion animal.  Our two staff veterinarians, as well as our highly qualified and caring euthanasia technicians, are here to assist you and you pet.

Euthanasia services are by appointment.  If you wish to be present, you may make arrangements to do so when scheduling your appointment.  Owner present services are generally limited to weekdays.

The cost for this service is:

• Dogs over 20 pounds: $75
• Cats and dogs under 20 pounds: $50
• Other pets: $20 to $35 (depending on species)

The cost of euthanasia includes disposal.  However, the staff of the HSBC can assist you with cremation services for an additional fee.
