Humane Society of Berks County Veterinary Hospitals

Great Vets. Great Care. For A Great Cause.

The Veterinary Hospitals of the Humane Society of Berks County are now accepting new patients!  New and past adopters and the general public are welcome.  If you are going to be spending money on your pet's healthcare, why not do it somewhere that will use those resources to help homeless, injured and abused pets?

HSBC Staff, October 2011

Our talented and smiling staff will be here to help you and your pets with the best care and treatment.  Whether it's the HSBC Veterinary Hospital at the Lindy Scholar Center in Reading featuring separate veterinary client entrance and waiting areas and cutting edge treatment such as acupuncture, or the Holly Miller Adoption and Veterinary Wellness Center in Douglassville, you'll get great care.  Plus, we offer convenient evening and weekend schedules to fit your busy schedule.

It's just one more way that the the Humane Society of Berks County is showing that it is a very different Humane Society.

Low Cost Vaccination and Microchipping clinics are held the first and third Friday at the Lindy Scholar Center in Reading from 9:00 AM to Noon. The following fees apply only to the low-cost clinics:

  • Microchip Implantation: $15
  • Rabies Vaccination: $21
  • Distemper Combination Vaccination: $21
  • Deworming: $15

Our next low cost clinic is scheduled for March 1st, 2013 from 9:00 AM to Noon at the Lindy Scholar Center.

Dog Owners: Microchip implantation is required for dogs to receive services at our low-cost clinics. We require this because our statistics show that a microchip is the surest way to identify your animal and prevent him from staying in a shelter. If your dog already has a microchip, this service is not required. A 2012 Berks County Dog License is also required for each dog. If you have the license, please remember to bring the paper with your information. If you do not have a dog license, you may license your dog at the Humane Society of Berks County.
