Fundraising on FirstGiving

Walk_1The 36th Walk for the Animals & Walktoberfest is scheduled for Saturday, September 14th at Maple Grove Raceway! Join 4,000 other animal lovers in a fun walk and an afternoon of live music, contests, prizes and activities. The Walk is free and open to the public, though registered Walkers at all levels get some pretty cool benefits!

Individual Registration
Though it's free for anyone and everyone to attend the Walk, we encourage you to be part of the fun and register to Walk! Registration is just $20 for adults and $10 for kids 17 & under. All registered Walkers receive a cool commemorative t-shirt and help us to raise needed funds for people & animals in need, so this is a great starter option if it's your first Walk! After you register and reserve your t-shirt, make sure to sign up for your personal FirstGiving page so you can start collecting pledges from your family, friends & coworkers!

For those who can do a bit more to help the animals, we recommend registering as a VIP Walker. Enjoy a great buffet and access to our beer garden! We also have sponsorship packages available with great promotional benefits in the months leading up to the Walk for the Animals.

Pack Registration
A Walk Pack is a group of friends or coworkers who band together to raise more funds for the animals! Packs receive customized t-shirts with their team's logo, a reserved seating area in Packville and recognition on our website, in promotional materials and at the Walk itself. Get your family and friends together, or ask your boss if they'll sponsor a Walk Pack at your workplace! Registered Walk Packs commit to raising at least $1,000 before the Walk, though that's not too much of a hurdle: several of our Packs raised more than $5,000 each last year! Email Lorraine Storms at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to register your Pack today!

This just in: our musical guests at the 36th Walk for the Animals will be none other than Fred Eaglesmith's Traveling Steam Show! Fred and his band played a dynamite show in 2005 and this time he's bringing a bunch of friends! We'll have a full lineup posted soon.
