HOLLY MILLER CENTER

On Saturday, October 4, 2008, the Humane Society opened the doors to the Holly Miller Center for Animal Welfare in Douglassville, PA. The Miller Center brings needed adoption and veterinary wellness services to the Eastern Berks/Western MontCo/Northern ChesCo area.
The three phase project began with cat, small animal and exotics adoption services and veterinary services to our adopters and to the general public. Phase three will complete the facility with a full dog adoption center.
We hope that you will join us if you are considering adopting, volunteering, taking advantage of our top quality veterinary services, or just want to stop by and say, "Hi!", to the animals. The Holly Miller Center might be a little different than what you expect from an animal shelter, and you'll notice the difference as soon as you drive up to the 1750s stone Berks Historic Register building which houses the Miller Center.
The Miller Center currently adopts cats (including sweet, cuddly kittens), small pets, and exotics. Small dogs coming soon!
Not ready to adopt? Then just pull up a comfy chair and take a load off. If you work in the area and brown bag it, bring your lunch with you. The animals like company! Keep checking back as we open more and more of the facility with expanded vet and dog adoption services!
And while you're in the area, why not visit some of our local partners? Grab a healthy lunch at Raw Can Roll Cafe, and check out the plants and landscaping options at Wanner Gardens!
